The ACTBA offers a number of programs to help you get involved with badminton.
Umpire Course (Level 1)
This course teaches the skills to become an umpire. The course consists of the laws of the game, risk management, communication skills, dealing with conflict and officiating better. At the end of the course you will be awarded with Level 1 Accredited Umpire certificate by Badminton Australia. |
Shuttle Time
Shuttle Time is Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) schools badminton programme. The programme aims to help teachers develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to plan and deliver safe and fun badminton lessons to school children. The course is usually offered in Term 3 or 4 and can be counted towards your teacher’s professional development requirements. |
Coaching Course (Level 1/1A)
This course teaches the skills to become a coach. It is aimed at those who wish to/are currently working with beginner/intermediate level players. The course consisted of risk management, coaching communication, developing and analysing sport skills, game sense, group management and development of the athlete. At the end of each course you will be accredited with a coaching certificate by Badminton Australia. |
