Badminton Coaching Foundation Course Entries Open

BACT has arranged for our first Badminton Australia Foundation Level coaching course (physical component) to be held:

Badminton Coaching Foundation Course – 9th of July 2023 at Canberra Grammar School – 8:30am to 4:30pm. (BYO lunch)

This course is a prerequisite to all the BWF Level Coaching courses, and is the minimum required accreditation for coaching at Australian national events. The course is half online (via Badminton Australia) and half in-person.

Registration for this in-person course is required as places are limited (18). Currently active coaches or those wishing to be active coaches in their clubs or schools, will be given preference.

The in-person part of the course will cost $70 to cover the costs for participants to attend the in-person training part of the course.  The online component is another $85 (for Adults) charged by Badminton Australia and includes the current years coach registration fee ($46).  If you are interested I would suggest that you first speak to your Club Presidents as if you are keen to coach at your clubs then the clubs may assist in terms of the costs for the course.

Attendees must complete the online portion of the course (preferably prior to the 9th and provide their proof), and have a current Working With Vulnerable People card.

If you cannot complete the online part prior to the in-person training you will need to provide proof of completing the online course ASAP before it will be submitted to Badminton Australia for finalising your accreditation.

Other courses will be run in the future so this is just the first opportunity for this training course in the ACT.  The date was fixed by venue and trainers availability.

Please email to express your interest in registering for the in-person course.
