ACTBA 2020 March InterClub Team Challenge Regulations
ENTRY: The entry fee per team is $60.
- Entries close on Sunday 22nd March 2020 at 11.59pm
- To enter, Club’s must enter their Teams and pay through Tournament Software.
Players must be a registered member of an ACTBA Club, or a registered member of a club affiliated with Badminton Australia (Open and B Grade only). If an event is oversubscribed and subject to a maximum draw size, entries by ACTBA club will be given preference over interstate Clubs.
EVENT FORMAT
This event is a doubles competition, and consists of MD, WD and XD depending on the Grade format.
Open Grade
- 4 doubles
- Minimum of 4 players (any gender)
- Entry is open to interstate clubs. All players must be members of the same club. The club must be affiliated to Badminton Australia.
B Grade
- 1 men’s doubles, 1 women’s doubles and 2 mixed doubles
- Minimum 2 men and 2 women.
- Entry is open to interstate clubs. All players must be members of the club. The club must be affiliated to Badminton Australia.
C Grade
- -1 men’s doubles, 1 women’s doubles and 2 mixed doubles
- Minimum 2 men and 2 women.
- Entry is open to ACTBA affiliated clubs only. D Grade -4 doubles -Minimum of 4 players (any gender)
D Grade is for Beginners only
- Entry is open to ACTBA affiliated clubs only.
DRAWS A round-robin format will be used based on the number of entries received per Grade. Where there is more than one pool, a play-off may take place between pool winners.
VENUE AND SCHEDULE
The following schedule is notional only. It is subject to change and will be confirmed on 29th February 2020.
Venue – Amaroo High School, Katherine Avenue, AMAROO, ACT –
- 9 am- Open and C Grade (tentatively)
- 1 pm- B and D Grade (tentatively)
WITHDRAWALS
Teams must withdraw by Tuesday, 24th March 2020 at 11:59 pm to be entitled to a full refund.
RISKS
Players taking part in the tournament do so at their own risk.
TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE RULES
The tournament committee reserves the right to
- re-grade teams/players -reject any entry or entries
- combine events or cancel events, where insufficient entries are received
- disqualify any player not available to play at designated time
- disqualify any player not willing to umpire when so directed
- disqualify any player who interferes with the successful running of tournament
