This effectively means that all ACTBA affiliated badminton clubs can resume their social sessions.  However, as some of the facilities that clubs hire are having some issues arranging for the reopening of their venues (largely related to sourcing cleaners), please see any notices individual clubs have placed on this

The Gungahlin Badminton Club (GBC) has transferred management for the Tuesday session at Gungahlin College to the new Young Dragon Badminton Club.

Due to exceptional demand to play badminton and the lack of suitable and available venues, the GBC was simply inundated with people wishing to join the club in 2021. The initial limit of 65 members was filled during the very first session of the year and there is already a Wait List comprising yet another 60 people wishing to join. While a few more people may be allowed to join over the coming weeks once we see the numbers attending each session, it is highly unlikely that all the people currently on the Wait List will be offered membership during the year. As such, along with membership of the club, the Wait List is now also closed to avoid disappointment. A notice will be placed here were either to reopen.

I would suggest that people interested in playing badminton in Canberra lobby your local politicians for more indoor sports centres (as the ACTBA is doing).
