The success of this style of club teams event highlights that many ACT clubs welcome the atmosphere of such a social, club-versus-club, competition.
Eight clubs (over half of the total number of ACTBA affiliated clubs) put in 28 teams across all four grades, with 126 players participating. What was particularly pleasing to see was the number of younger children participating; indeed the ACTBA Committee has decided that the next InterClub (tentatively scheduled for early October) will see an ‘E’ Grade (‘E’ for enthusiastic) which will limited to U13s and so enable a much fairer competition for these youngsters.
Great work by Sheehan and the tournament team in making this a successful event now embedded in the ACTBA calendar. For details on the tournament please see the tournament link.
